The Story of Jaffarya Center

Mihrab of mosque

At the Jaffarya Center, we are more than just a mosque; we are a non-profit organization dedicated to serving Shia Muslims and promoting understanding among different communities. Our center offers an array of programs, including educational seminars, social gatherings, and spiritual services, that cater to our diverse membership.

Founded in the 1970s, the Jaffarya Center emerged from the need for a dedicated space for Shia Muslims in Buffalo. Our founders envisioned a welcoming environment where families could come together for worship, learning, and fellowship.

We primarily serve Muslim community in the greater Buffalo area. Our programs are designed to foster inclusivity and provide support for all members of the community.
